The Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) organized the South Asian Telecommunication Regulators’ Council (SATRC) Workshop on Spectrum from 16 to 18 August 2017 in Islamabad, Pakistan. The workshop was be hosted by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).

The SATRC Workshop on Spectrum is a part of the implementation of SATRC Action Plan Phase VI which was adopted at the 17th SATRC meeting held in 2016 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The workshop will discuss a number of issues in the areas of developing spectrum roadmap for mobile broadband, spectrum management for the deployment of IoT, proliferation of Wi-Fi networks, wireless backhaul and other related topics. For detail of the Workshop please refer to the 'Concept Note'. The workshop will assist the SATRC members in their human resource development and provide an excellent opportunity to exchange views and experiences among the SATRC members’ regulators and operators on the aforementioned issues.
